Education and experience:

PharmD (Federico II University, Naples), MSc in “International Health Care Management, Economics and Policy” (Bocconi University, Milan), PhD in Pharmaceutical Policy and Regulation (Utrecht University).

Since 2006 he has been serving the Italian Medicines Agency in Rome, as an HTA officer, mainly involved in HTA appraisals and scientific advice. He is currently seconded to the Scientific Advice Office of the European Medicines Agency in London, as a National Expert seconded by the Italian Medicines Agency, focussing on EMA-HTA parallel scientific advice. Prior to this he conducted research at the Essential Drugs Department of the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland (2002-2003), working on international comparisons of medicines price, and at the Laboratory of Drug Regulatory Policies of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Milan (2005-2006).
